A visual call for mindfulness in a world where people become alienated from real contact and the perception of the natural world.
We need to see' is not just about seeing, but also about truth and stupidity, the real and the fake. The images are both a reflection of my own perception and a revelation of the disconnection, brought by our digital world through subtle juxtapositions and raw encounters, with people on the street.
In collaboration with Studio Last.
In a world focused on transparency, efficiency, and sameness, the foreign is erased – not through violence, but through unconcern.
Interactions become just exchanges, predictable, functional, and shallow.
The foreign, however, disrupts, slows us down, and makes us uncomfortable – and that’s where its truth lies. Only by resisting what is easy and familiar does the Other truly become visible.
People visiting me in my studio over the years 24 and 25, where I took their portrait during a raw and honest encounter. - Editon of 200
